Phnom Penh -Takeo - Kampot - Kampong Thom - Siem Reap

Day 1: Arrive in Phnom Penh
On arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, welcome and then transfer to the hotel for check-in. Proceed with city tour and in the afternoon visit the National Museum and the affluent Silver Pagoda. Enjoy an unforgettable sunset cruise on Chaktomouk Rivers (four face rivers), which includes window visit to a small floating village and fishing boat port. Overnight in Phnom Penh. Meals: (L/D).

Day 2: Phnom Penh
In the morning, journey out to visit Cheung Ek, return for lunch in the city. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise along lower Mekong River and stop to visit the cotton weaving village of Kien Svay. Walk along the river bank to see the peaceful life of the countryside people. Return to Phnom Penh to visit Wat Thanh where many beautiful art pieces and handicraft are made by handicapped victims of land mines. Dinner and overnight in Phnom Penh. Meals: (B/L/D). Day 3: Phnom Penh - Udong Former capital
After breakfast in the morning drive to Phnom Udong, to the visit the former capital. Udong served as the capital of Cambodia under several sovereigns between 1618 and 1866. A number of kings including King Norodom was crowned here. Udong appears as two symmetrical hills, divided into large and small ridge. The larger ridge, call Phnom Preah Reach Throap (Hill of the Royal Fortune), is so name because a 16th century Khmer King is said to have hidden the ntional treasury here during a war with the Thais. The most impressive structure on Phnom Preah Reach Throap is Vihear Preah Ath Roes (Vihara of the 18 Cubit Buddha) and several stupa of the final resting place of many kings and king predecessors.
After lunch return back to Phnom Penh. On the way back, visit the silver smith village to observe how the local make and carve the silver into a beautiful jewelry and cutlery. Return back to Phnom Penh, rest until dinner, overnight in Phnom Penh. Meals: (B/L/D).

Day 4: Phnom Penh - Takeo - Kampot
In the morning after breakfast depart to Takeo located in the Southwest of the country, it is a provincial capital best used as a base to visit the old temples in the Angkor Borei area. Angkor Borei is of the earliest pre-Angkorian sites in Cambodia, dating back to the 5th century. Angkor Borei is actually a small modern town, but in this instance it is used to refer to the remains of an ancient walled city in the vicinity. The town has a museum that houses a decent collection of Funan and Chenla era arte-facts. After visit Angkor Borei, return back to Takeo for lunch. After lunch continue by road to Kampot. Once arrived in Kampot, visitors have option of going trekking in the hill of Krung Kep (Kep or Beach City) or just relax on the beach of Krung Kep. Meals: (B/L/D).

Day 5: Kampot - Kompong Trach - Phnom Penh
In the morning after breakfast, drive to Kompong Trach, to visit the Phnom Kompong Trach. Phnom Kompong Trach, rises like a gray skyscraper amongst the green plains, inside the hill is riddled with passageways and caverns. This cavern complex contains one of the earliest recorded discoveries of Indian artifacts in the country. There is a brick prasat within the cave that dates to the Funan period (1st - 6th centuries). This temple is dedicated to Shiva and provides the first example of solely Indian influenced architecture. The Indian style statuary that surrounds the hill attests to this. Picnic lunch will be served outside the cave, at the foot of the hill. After completing visit in Kompong Trach, return back to Phnom Penh. Dinner and overnight in Phnom Penh. Meals: (B/L/D).

Day 6: Phnom Penh - Kompong Thom - Siem Reap
After breakfast in the morning drive to Kompong Thom to visit the famous Sambo Prei Kuk group of temples. Sambo Prei Kuk is home to the most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments anywhere in Cambodia and there are more than 100 small temples scattered throughout the forest. Sambor Prei Kuk was the capital of Chenla during the reign of the early 7th century. Return back to Kompong Thom for lunch. After lunch continue to by road to Siem Reap. Dinner and overnight in Siem Reap Meals: (B/L/D).

Day 7: Siem Reap
In the morning after breakfast, commence with temple tours, visit to famous Bayon Temple, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace and Baphoun Temples. In the afternoon explore World Wonder of Angkor Wat and watch sunset view from the top of Phnom Bakheng Hill. Overnight in Siem Reap. Meals: (B/L/D).

Day 8: Siem Reap
Day begins with visit to the marvelous Chaosay Tevoda, Thommanun, Takeo, Ta Prohm temples, terrace of Srah Srang and Prasat Kravan. In the afternoon, visit a few other marvelous temples such as Pre Rup, Leak Neang, Mebon, Tasom and Neak Poan. Overnight in Siem Reap. Meals: (B/L/D).

Day 9: Siem Reap
Day begins with visit to the Roluos group including Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei Temples. After lunch visit the Siem Reap River, Wat Athovea and enjoy boat ride on the side of Tonle Sap Lake with visit to fishing and floating village. Overnight in Siem Reap. Meals: (B/L/D).

Day 10: Siem Reap
In the morning after breakfast, proceed on a drive to Koh Ker is a former 10th century capital of the Angkorian empire, is one of the most remote temple site in Cambodia. There are a remarkable number of religious buildings in the Koh Ker region. There are more than 30 major structures. The principle monument of Koh Ker is Prasat Thom, a 40-meter high sandstone faced pyramid of seven levels. Some 40 inscriptions, dating from 932 to 1010 have been found in Prasat Thom offering an insighting northeast; the compound includes the obligatory libraries, as well as a host of smaller bricks sanctuaries. Picnic lunch will be served at the temple site. After lunch, return back to Siem Reap. On the way stop by at Beng Mealea Temple, is a spectacular sight to behold, one of the most mysterious temples at Angkor. This 12th century temple, is very similar in design to Angkor Wat, it is located right in the middle of the old Angkorian road between Angkor Thom and Preah Khan in Preah Vihear. Beng Mealea has a perfectly well reserved library and some carving. After the visit Beng Mealea return back to Siem Reap. Diner and overnight in Siem Reap. Meals: (B/L/D).

Day 11: Depart Siem Reap
After breakfast, visit les Artisans D'Angkor -- school of Fine Arts, then free day at leisure until transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of tour service. Meals: (B).

Visa & Visa Fees:
For most foreign visitors visas for Cambodia are obtainable upon arrival at both Pochentong and Siem Reap International Airports. Visas are also available at Poipet and Cham Yearn (Koh Kong Province) border crossings. However, visitors who enter through Bavet (Moc Bai) or Ka-Om Samnor (Chou Doc), visas must be obtained in advance from the Cambodian Embassy or Consulate abroad or in Bangkok.
A period of one month tourist visa costs US$ 20, two passport picture size photographs of yourself are required and a passport must be valid at least 6 months. Tourist visa can be extended by one month for a fee of US$ 15. One month business visa costs US$ 25, but can be extended. Please kindly note that other border crossings not mentioned are not classified as international check points at the time this information compilation.
