Destination: Vientiane-Luangnamtha-Muongsing-Udomxai-Luangprabang-Xiengkhuang.

Highlights of Activities: Visit ancient palaces and temples in Vientiane, Luangprabang (Cultural World Heritage site), visit major hill tribe villages and local weaving places in Luangnamtha, northern Laos, trek in Nam Ha Protected Area, cruise in Nam Ou River for scenic tour, Kuangsi waterfall and Pakou cave along the Mekong River, the home of 1,000s of Buddha images, where former king of Luangprabang often meditated, and then overland to Xiengkhuang to visit the Plain of Jars (one of the most impressive historical sites).

Day 1 Arrive Vientiane
Welcome at Vientiane Airport and transfer to hotel. Afternoon, visit the historic temples such as Wat Prakeo, Wat Sisaket, Thatluang and Patuxai (Victory gate), remaining time at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Lao or similar.

Day 2 Vientiane-Luangnamtha
After breakfast, free until transfer to airport for a flight to Luangnamtha.
Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Then, we will visit hand weaving and silk making villages of Thai dam nearby Luanamtha. Overnight at Vilah Hotel or similar.

Day 3 Luangnamtha Trekking (Nam Ha Protected Area)
After breakfast, pick up at hotel, and depart for about 5hours trek from Ban Khone (Kalom), Ban Nam Hoi (H'mong), Ban Phiang Ngam (Thai Deng). We will have a picnic lunch en-route. Then, continue trekking to Ban Nam Ngene (Thai dam & Thai deng) and to see Poum Pouk stupa. Finally return to to Luangnamtha for overnight at Vilah Hotel or similar.

Day 4 Luangnamtha-Muongsing (60kms Drive)
After breakfast, drive to Muongsing for about 2 hours. En route, we will visit the minority villages of H'mong, Thai dam, Khamu, Ekor and Laten.
Overnight at Singchaleun Hotel or similar in Muongsing.

Day 5 Muongsing-Luangnamtha-Udomxai (Overland 177kms)
Early morning, we will visit the local market to see the local people with traditional dress buying & selling goods at the market. After breakfast, visit Ban Yao and local Laos-China border Pangthong. Then drive back to Luangnamtha and continue journey to Udomxai district. En route, we'll make some stops to visit minority villages of H'mong and Khamu villages.
On arrival, checkin and at leisure. Overnight at Litha Vixai Hotel or similar.

Day 6 Udomxai-Muong Ngoi -Luangprabang (Overland & Boat)
After breakfast, visit the local market and drive to Muong Ngoi about 120kms. Upon arrival in Muong Ngoi, we will take the speed boat to Luangprabang on Nam Ou River for about 5hrs. We will enjoy the beautiful scenery along the river. We'll stop to visit Pakou cave, where 1000 of Buddha images contained, and visit a local distillery at Ban Sanghai to observe how the locals produce the rice wine. Evening- arrive Luangprabang and overnight at Rama Hotel or Banlao Hotel.

Day 7 Luangprabang
Full day city tour, including visit to the royal temples and the former king's palace. Afternoon, we will visit the famous hand weaving village of Thail Lu Ban Phanom. Overnight at Rama Hotel or Banlao Hotel.

Day 8 Luangprabang-Kuangsi Waterfall
Breakfast, and drive to Kuangsi waterfalls some 30kms. Visit the hill tribe village of Ban Thapaen and do a short walking along the path of the falls. Afternoon- return to Luangprabang and visit the local market and silversmith shops.
Overnight at Rama Hotel or Ban Lao Hotel.

Day 9 Luangprabang-Xiengkhuang overland
After breakfast, drive to Xiengkhuang (about 5-6 hours). En route, visit some minority villages. Upon arrival, visit the Plain of Jars. Overnight at Vansana Hotel or similar

Day 10 Xiengkhuang-Vientiane
After breakfast, we will visit Muongkhoune, the former capital of Xiengkhuang and H'mong villages. Afternoon, we will take a flight to Vientiane. On arrival, transfer to Hotel Lao for overnight.

Day 11 Departure from Vientiane
After breakfast, at leisure until transfer to airport or Friendship bridge for your next destination.

Mekong Sub Region Flight Connection Options:
Guests can connect flights to Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, and Chiang Mai (few flights a week) with advance arrangement.
