Activities: Visit ancient palaces and temples of Luangprabang, a Cultural World Heritage site declared by UNESCO, Pakou cave, the home of 1,000s of Buddha images, where the king of Luangprabang often meditated, visit Kuangsi waterfall and hill tribe villages to see the local weaving and rice wine making techniques, and enjoy the scenic Mekong River.

Best Season: October to April is the dry weather best time. However, Luangprabang can be visited year round.

Program DL1:

Day 1 Bangkok-Luangprabang
Meet at Luangprabang airport, transfer to hotel, and begin half day visit the royal temples; Wat Visun, Wat Saen, Wat Xiengthong and Phousi Mount to see sunset over the majestic Mekong River.
Overnight at Rama Hotel or Ban Lao Hotel.

Day 2 Luangprabang-Pakou Cave
After breakfast, visit the former king's palace. Then, take a boat to Pakou cave to visit the cave and local rice wine production village of Ban Sanghai.
Afternoon, return to Luangprabang and visit the famous hand weaving village Ban Phanom and transfer to hotel and at leisure.
Overnight at Rama hotel or Ban Lao hotel.

Day 3 Luangprabang-Kuangsi Waterfalls
After breakfast, drive to Kuangsi waterfalls. En-route visit Hmong (Ban Ouane), Khamu villages (Ban Thapaen ) and waterfalls. Remaining time at leisure.
Overnight at Rama hotel or Ban Lao hotel.

Day 4 Depart Luangprabang
After breakfast, visit the local Hmong market and silver smith shops, and transfer to airport for your next destination.

Mekong Sub Region Flight Connection Options:
Guests can connect flights to Bangkok, Hanoi, Hochi Minh City, Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, and Chiang Mai (few flights a week) with advance arrangement.
