Itinerary #M3: Myanmar Cultural Tour 6 Days / 5 Nights.

Day 1: Yangon
Arrive at Yangon Int'l Airport and transfer to hotel with afternoon at leisure. Evening visit to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon - Bagan
Transfer to Yangon Airport for early morning flight to Bagan (80 minutes). On arrival at Nyaung Oo Airport, you will be transferred to hotel for refreshment. After settlement, start to tour in Bagan including colourful Nyaung Oo Local Market, Shwezigon Pagoda, Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi (a cave temple with exquisite jatakas murals paintings) and the elegant Htilominlo Temple (noted for its plaster carvings) and Tharaba Gate. More explorations of Bagan in the afternoon including visits to Ananda (an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple), Ananda Okkyaung (one of the few surviving brick monasteries from the early Bagan period), Thatbyinnyu (the highest in Bagan, rising to 61 m) and Dhammayangyi Temple (noted for its remarkable brickwork). Enjoy the fantastic sunset view at one of the famous temples. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 3: Bagan
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Myinkaba village and observe the process of traditional lacquer-ware, one of the best-known Myanmar handricrafts and a speciality of Bagan. Visit Myinkaba Gubyaukkyi (an early period Pyu-style temple of Hindu influence). Nextstop at Manuha and Nanpaya temples. In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion to the countryside village of Minnanthu. A visit to some of the most interesting temples such as Payathonzu, Lemyethnar, Sinbyushin, Nandaminnya and Minnanthu monastery. Enjoy sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River at Bupaya. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 4: Bagan - Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Nyaung Oo Airport for the flight to Mandalay (30 minutes). On arrival, transfer to hotel. On the way visit Maha Gandayone monastery (more than 1000 monks) in Amarapura, U Bein (the world's longest Teakwood Bridge ,1208 meters long) and a traditional Silk and cotton Weaving workshops. Afternoon visits of Mandalay including Mahamuni Pagoda (famous for its venerable statue of Buddha covered with gold leaf), local artisan's workshops of gold leaf making, woodcarving and marble carving, Shwenandaw Monastery (noted for its exquisite woodcarving). Next stop at Atumashi Monastery (the incomparable Monastery) and Kuthodaw Pagoda with its 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures (known as the world's biggest book). Enjoy the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 5: Mandalay - Yangon
In the morning transfer to Mandalay Airport for the flight to Yangon. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Afternoon shopping at Bogyok Aung San (Scott) Market, the city's busiest & liveliest bazaar. Continue visits to Sule Pagoda, Botataung Pagoda, China town and the fruit market. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 6: Yangon
Morning visits to Chaukhtatkyi Reclining Buddha and Karaweik Royal Barge (a royal floating barge on the Kandawgyi Royal Lake, for photo stop). Transfer to Yangon Airport for departure.

Tour Cost Includes:
Tour cost includes all accommodation based on two persons sharing one twin or double bedroom with breakfast, all internal transportation and transfers, all entrance fees for sightseeing and excursions as listed in the itinerary, two bags person, portage and English speaking tour guide for sightseeing at each region throughout the tour.

Tour Cost Excludes:
Personal expenses, international airfares, airport departure taxes, meals (lunches and dinners), cost of visas, excess baggage charges, personal or baggage insurance and any items of personal nature are not included in the price quoted, additional costs caused by delays such as situations beyond our control and emergencies. Note: Some hotels have peak season surcharge and will be advised at the time of reservation.
