Itinerary #M6: Yangon and the Golden Rock 2 Days / 1 Night.

Day 1: Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo
Early this morning, enjoy a scenic journey by road to Kyaikhtiyo, 190km to the east. It is Myanmar's one of the most sacred sights, a huge golden-leafed boulder balanced precariously on the edge of a cliff. The pagoda at the Golden Rock is said to house a single hair of the Buddha. Late morning, arrive at Kyaikhtiyo base camp and transfer to the pick up truck for one hour ride to the transit junction. Continue for one hour of light hiking up to the summit. Overnight in Kyaikhtiyo.

Day 2: Kyaikhtiyo - Bago - Yangon
After breakfast, return to the base-camp by truck and return by road to Yangon stopping at Bago to visit the Shwemawdaw Pagoda and the Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha. Enroute visit the Allied War Cemetery near Htaukkyant (the final resting place for over 27,000 allied soldiers), and a local woven bamboo workshop. Transfer back to Yangon.

Tour Cost Includes:
Tour cost includes all accommodation based on two persons sharing one twin or double bedroom with breakfast, all internal transportation and transfers, all entrance fees for sightseeing and excursions as listed in the itinerary, two bags person, portage and English speaking tour guide for sightseeing at each region throughout the tour.

Tour Cost Excludes:
Personal expenses, international airfares, airport departure taxes, meals (lunches and dinners), cost of visas, excess baggage charges, personal or baggage insurance and any items of personal nature are not included in the price quoted, additional costs caused by delays such as situations beyond our control and emergencies. Note: Some hotels have peak season surcharge and will be advised at the time of reservation.

Complementary Policy:
For the group of 15 paying persons, we offer 1 person complementary.

Supplement for Lunches and Dinners:
Lunch at good local restaurant USD7 per person per meal
Dinner at good local restaurant USD10 per person per meal

Package Price and Alternation of Itineraries:
All package prices are net per person in US Dollars. Package prices are subject to change should there be major changes in government tax policies, Local currency exchange rates and/or major changes in US Dollar exchange rates. We reserve the right to alternate an itinerary in the event of natural disasters, bad weather, civil unrest or other unforeseen factors that pose threat to our clients and crew.
