Koh Phangan Tour

Pha-Ngan Island is located in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand. It is about 100 km from the mainland and about 15 km from Koh Samui.

Koh Pha-Ngan has plenty of beautiful remote beaches which are perfect to swim, snorkel, sunbath or lie on the white sand beach as long as you like. So, pick up one and enjoy your holidays with the simplicity of nature.

The Chinese Temple exists today because of the faith of one woman - Mrs. Malawan. Years before 1990, when Koh Pha-Ngan was still largely without electricity, Mrs. Malawan came to Sangthom Temple on Koh Pha-Ngan from Bangkok for the ceremony of presenting the robes to the priests (Todkathin). During one night, sleeping outside with friends, Mrs. Malawan dreamt about the Chinese Buddha, Jaomae Kuanim. The Buddha told her to build a fire light for the people.

With intent to fulfill the requests of the Buddha, Mrs. Malawan returned to Bangkok to raise the funds necessary to build the Temple. Building was completed in 1992, and continues today.

Now the Chinese Temple is a place where many people come to try one's luck or trust in luck. There are three main festivals during the year which are special for the Chinese Buddha: January, May and August. Every year during these periods, people come to the Temple to show their faith and ask for blessing.

Koh Mah is a small island connected to Koh Phangan by a sandbar on Had Mae Had beach. Easily accessible, Koh Ma has only a few bungalows. Many people refer to this island as "Paradise" and find it extremely hard to leave. Koh Mah is surrounded by an amazingly colorful living reef. It is an ideal location for snorkeling or learning how to dive.

The island itself is lush, with papaya and coconut. If you want to climb to the top of the island, we recommend you bring a sturdy pair of walking boots.

Haad Rin is one of Pha-ngan' s most popular beach where the famous Full Moon Party takes place every month. It actually consists of two beaches, one on each side of Cape Rin, which sticks out like a thumb from southeast corner of the island.

Wat Khao Tam is not actually a true Temple (Wat) as there are only a couple of monks in residence. Despite this there is chanting and mediation every day in the morning and early evening at 6am and 6pm. Anyone interested is welcome to come and share the experience.
A spectacular sunset viewpoint can also be reached at the top of the mountain where you can cast your eyes up and down the southern coast of Koh Phangan and out across the sea to the distant island of Koh Samui.

Phaeng Waterfall The main waterfall is a steep 250m walk up a jungle trail, and a further 200m up the path will bring you to a fantastic mountaintop viewpoint. Nearby, there is also a long winding foot trail that leads up the mountain Kao Ra viewpoint, which begins in the village of Ban Madua Wan. The trail is very steep in places and can often be difficult to follow - in some places dangerous. It is recommended that you take advantage of the guide service at Phaeng Waterfall.
